For our first piece of dish ware, we wanted to create something that would hold you through the seasons, whether a vibrant early spring salad on a warm day or a plate full of roasted roots and wild game on a cold night. Our first plate is our Every Season Plate. Some may deem it a bowl, but this to us is a plate. It can serve, plate, or be part of your prep. It will serve so many purposes in your daily life in the kitchen through every season, and this is why it is our first ceramic piece.
Hand built with white clay, this stoneware piece was made in the studio of Laura Brown from Laura Lou Ceramics just off M-22 in Leelanau County. We let the clay stay natural by simply applying a clear glaze that creates a subtle natural and unique crackle on each piece. The off-white color is perfect for any type of dish you may be enjoying and will easily wear through the years.
This will be an ongoing item we carry here at Fresh Exchange, and this collection will grow as our store and makers do as well.
*** If you would like to order more than 8 plates, please email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help you with your order directly ***
Details to know: Since it is stoneware, it is dishwasher and oven-safe, but we suggest hand-washing them whenever possible to avoid chipping off the edges of the dishes.
Each piece is hand built, which means they are all slightly different and have their own little imperfections that tell a story.
