It is just before your guests arrive. You have thought about every detail, and in those 30 minutes before they arrive, you prep your cheese platter and apples. The soup is on the stove, your friend is bringing salad, and the other made sourdough that day just for dinner. It is a simple night in with those you enjoy most and need time with during these cooler nights. You prep the board with a few favorite cheeses, nuts, a jam your mom made, olives, some dried fruit, and your homemade crackers. It isn't much, but it is just what will be the perfect pairing to start the night. You place it on a serving board that easily will transition to the dinner table once dinner is ready, so the leftovers won't go to waste.
Designed with Noah Robitshek from Freshwater Woodworks, we created a walnut cutting board that preserves the live edge of the wood in a modern way, a beeswax food grade finish, and handles hidden underneath on both sides to make this an easy transition from one surface to another while entertaining.
We have only 15 of these available for this Fall 2018 Collection
Details to know: Our walnut serving boards are intended specifically for serving. Know that they will retain marks of a knife if used otherwise.
Wash board by hand under warm water with soap after each use and allow to fully dry before storing.
Semi-annual oil application is suggested with either mineral oil or beeswax to allow the wood grain to reappear.
It is natural for the board to adjust to room temperature and annual humidity changes. To avoid anything too drastic, keep it out of standing water and do not wash in a dishwasher.
